Book three of the Hopeless saga introduces more adult characters, and has a number of crowd scenes in it. We’re in the process of designing the new people, and we’re looking for faces. If you would like to be in the next comic, here’s what you have to do.
Send a small jpg of yourself to brynnethnimue at gmail dot com. We’re looking for people of all ages. Nifty costumes, props, hair arrangement, facial hair and whatnot that suit the setting will give you a distinct advantage, but if you have an interesting face, we might want you even if you are regularly attired. And just to be clear, we only want attired images please! Hopeless is a cold, damp place and people do not strip off, even in bed. They probably keep something on in the bathtub. Also if you have exciting period garden or farming implements, wield them for the camera!
By sending us a photo, you are agreeing to let us work from an image of you as we see fit. Not all our characters are nice people. Some of them have hideous, unspeakable things done to them. A few more develop warts, boils and tentacles, so if you aren’t ok with taking that risk, better not to play.
We promise that if we end up using you, will email you back to say. If we’re going to use you for a major character, you will know in advance, and we are planning on including the names of those who feature, in the book – we’ll talk to you about that if you’re in, to make sure we have the names you want to be known by! We also are not planning to posting the photos online, and if we later change our minds about that, we’ll be in touch to get permission first.
We’re not setting a deadline, but soon is good. If you come in late and we like you… there will be other books, all being well.
